Bles Dairies East Africa imports 35 heifers

Aug 1, 2016

Bles Dairies East Africa Ltd.’s first activity: the import of 35 Holstein Friesian yearlings ready for insemination, from The Netherlands to Kenya. The young heifers will get pregnant through Artificial Insemination with sexed semen in Kenya, preparing them for sale.

Stanley Koech, the director of Bles Dairies East Africa Ltd. about the animals: “The heifers from Netherlands are settling down very well to the cool tropical climate. Bles Dairies East Africa will look after them while preparing for the next import in partnership with Eldoret Dairy Farmers Association. Next assignment is to vaccinate them. Keep a close eye when we shall be selling them.”
